Modern Barnyard

We ducked into Modern Barnyard to escape the heavy rain, & I’m honestly glad we did. The shop is beautifully arranged, full of charming home décor, gifts, & unique pieces that make you want to browse every corner. Even though we didn’t purchase anything this time, the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was cozy, & the whole place had a welcoming vibe. A great stop in the area & a place I’d happily return to on a sunnier day. ☀️

I always buy something each time I visit! A trip is never wasted. They offer such a great variety from barn chic pieces, giftable items, decor, seasonal items, selfcare, meal/dry mixes, and vintage pieces throughout (my personal fav). I really enjoy one specific booth (pictured), and always look forward to seeing what is new - each booth refreshes often. A very cute place to stop and look for gifts (for yourself or others)!

This was my second time to the store. My first experience was great. There was a nice lady working. Very friendly and helpful. This time terrible experience. The owners were there and were rude and not helpful. My sister was going to buy a shirt and she got up to pay for it and there was no price tag on it. He said there is no tag and she said there is one on the other shirt. Should I go get that for you she asked. He said well honey in order to pay for it you will have to get the tag for me. He never offered to go get it. We had asked if this door was to a bathroom and he said yes. She said is it open to the public to use and he said well if you open the door and go in then I guess you could use it…. It was one snide comment after another. Then after paying they didn’t even offer bags to take our stuff out. Not nice people. Never will go back.

We were with a bus group and they were so hospitable!! The store is absolutely amazing! I will definitely try to stop again when I am in the area! I loved it! He even helped us to make handmade candles.🤩
